We were approached by a client in the Naval Services to provide refurbishment options for deck marine cranes, to ensure they were operational and safe. Naval Offshore Patrol Vessels are consistently used within a marine/offshore environment and are subject to the effects of extremely harsh sea conditions over many years. The client contacted us to explore cost-effective refurbishment solutions to avoid having to purchase brand new equipment.
Solution
A full strip down repair is the most cost-effective alternative to purchasing a brand new replacement. Our experienced team accurately assessed and explained the level of refurbishment the client’s budget would achieve. To ensure the cranes were enhanced, and still working to their classification, certification and OEM requirements,
we offered improvements and additions of up-to-date supplementary systems, together with modern safety devices. Our structured procedures also ensured efficient turnarounds with the main objective of safeguarding repaired equipment to operate reliably, safely and back to ‘as new’ condition with an increased lifespan.
